MHGS - Software for Non-Destructive Testing
The IT company MHGS, which is situated near Erlangen, Germany, has expanded its range of competences.
MHGS now also offers consulting, support, services and software for imaging in non-destructive material testing (DICONDE - Digital Imaging & Communications for Non-Destructive Evaluation).
Non-destructive testing of materials means that workpieces are treated e.g. with X-rays or examined with ultrasound to detect cracks or check weld seams. The resulting images can be archived digitally. For this the world-wide standard DICONDE applies.
MHGS assists companies in implementing DICONDE and offers software to view and edit DICONDE images. Individual software and archiving solutions can be built by MHGS, too.
MHGS is headed by the graduate physicist Marianne Goeltl-Schuberth. Its customers come mainly from industry, health care, and universities from about 30 countries.
